Dr. Choy Ker Woon
About the Speaker
Dr. Choy Ker Woon obtained her BPT with Honours at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2008, where she was also a Dean Award recipient. She pursued her postgraduate study in Master of Medical Science (Anatomy) at UKM in 2013 and completed her PhD at University Malaya (UM) in 2018. Then, she worked as a lecturer in AIMST University and MAHSA University, majoring in teaching Anatomy for medical and health science courses. Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
 
Her major research interests lie in the area of applied anatomy in cardiovascular and forensic anthropology. Her research have been published in high impact ISI-indexed journals and conference proceedings. She has been awarded Young Investigator Award (2019), Young Scientist Award (2018) and Young Investigator Award (2016) nationally and internationally. Recently, she was awarded Special award (Double Gold) in International Science and Social Science Innovation Competition (2021) and special award in Malaysian Technology Expo (2022). She had also won awards in various innovation competition such as Gold Award in International Innovation Competition (INNOCOM) 2020, Gold Award in Virtual Innovation Competition (2020), Silver Award in International Invention, Innovation & Design Exposition (2020), Silver Award in Virtual International Medical Innovation Competition (2021).
 
She was awarded Top UiTM Authors for Publication in Scopus/WOS as corresponding authors in 2021 and prolific Q1 authors in 2022. In addition, she won Best Oral Presentation Award and many other awards during international and national conferences. In Three Minutes Thesis Competition, she has been awarded as a champion at the Faculty Level, 2nd Runner up winner at the University Level and 2nd Runner up at the National Level in 2018. She was also the semi-finalist in Famelab International competition in 2018.
WINNING INNOVATION COMPETITION: THE JUDGE’S PERSPECTIVE

Abstract
Innovation is the practical implementation of ideas that result in the introduction of new goods or services or improvement in offering goods or services. Innovation can be a new idea, product or method that is translated into a good or service that creates value. Innovation competition served as a platform to promote the innovation products or ideas and further enhancement of the innovation. Winning an innovation competition suggestive of the potential capability of your innovation and provides opportunity to potential new investors. Therefore, I would like to share the tricks on winning the innovation competition through the lens of a judge and my personal tips on winning the innovation’s special award.

Dr. Asiah Ali
About the Speaker
Dr. Asiah Ali is a senior lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). She completed her Ph.D. in Human Resource Management at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Nilai. Her primary research interests lie in human resource management, human resource development, management areas, job embeddedness, organizational citizenship behavior, employee retention, and entrepreneurship. She is a reviewer for the International Journal of Organizational Analysis. She is also a juror for a variety of Innovation competitions in various universities, local and international.
She is experienced in managing the entrepreneurship program as a Project Manager K-Shoppe Refurbished, Project Manager at Barber Trailer Incubator, Penyelaras Keusahawanan & Hubungan Industri, MASMED. She was also a public speaker for Festival Negeri Sembilan and Speaker for Motivasi Keusahawanan, Program Keusahawan Komuniti 2022.
DIGITAL INNOVATION IN HIGHER LEARNING EDUCATION

Abstract
Due to the global Covid pandemic, educations are changing from traditional method into digital. These encourage innovation in education especially in higher education. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) transforming almost all their activities such as teaching, research, and administration into a digital format to make sure the learning process continue no matter what happen. The digital innovation concept, in can be defined “as a product, process, or business model that is perceived as new, requires some significant changes on the part of adopters, and is embodied in or enabled by IT”. The digital channel gave the possibility to create new connections and favoured synergy.  Thus, the new method with the traditional way can creates the relevant digital innovation.

TIPS OF WINNING CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION COMPETITIONS

Abstract
Creativity and innovation are two things that are very necessary in all areas of human life. Whether it's related to normal life matters or in the career field. These two elements have a great impact on the progress of an individual and an organization. Therefore, both become a big agenda and are taken very seriously by the government sector as well as the private sector. Many efforts are being made to increase creativity and innovation in both sectors.  Creativity is the ability or ability to create, create and produce something new or in a new and original form. Creativity requires a high level of imagination, exploration and the ability to build new relationships with old and existing information. Creativity can produce innovation, which is an idea or way to improve the old process or way that is more effective and efficient or more interesting. Through innovation, we need to use creative minds and high imagination. These two elements are very necessary to bring the country towards progress and competitiveness.  There are several important messages that need to be conveyed when talking about innovation - specifically from the perspective of the concept itself. An innovation is not necessarily in the tangible form of a product, but any idea, way or process is also part of innovation. So there are some important tips for you to embrace the gold medal in the innovation product.
